Lost In NEW YORK
Project: LOST IN NEW YORK
Category: AIGC Video Art / Digital Motion
Concept Introduction:
New York City sells a beautiful illusion: it is so limitlessly diverse that everyone believes they can find a corner where they perfectly fit in. "LOST IN NEW YORK" is an AIGC video collection that challenges this premise, exploring the profound paradox of urban belonging. The core revelation of this project is a quiet, collective truth—despite the city's promise of inclusion, no one is truly a "New Yorker"; we are all just passing through.
Visual Narrative: Generated entirely through AI, the collection uses high-contrast black and white to strip away the distracting vibrancy of the city, focusing instead on time, motion, and psychological state.
The Reality (The Oculus): Contrasting the frantic search is a slow, descending view of the Oculus. The monumental, skeletal architecture dwarfs the crowd below. Through AI-generated long-exposure motion blur, the diverse individuals are reduced to uniform, fleeting shadows.
The Search (Street Signs): The rapidly shifting, dream-like street signs (W 4th, Houston, Lafayette) capture the frantic, disorienting search for an anchor. It represents the endless navigation of identity within a city that is constantly rewriting itself.
“Welcome to New York”
Through the lens of generative AI, "LOST IN NEW YORK" visualizes the isolation hidden within ultimate diversity. It captures the exact moment you realize that the city doesn't belong to you
—you are simply a temporary ghost in its grand, indifferent architecture.

In New York, every crossroad is an opportunity,
but it is also a chance to lose your way.
This contrast of frantic motion within absolute stillness serves as a visual metaphor for the city itself: we are surrounded by endless, rapid-fire choices, yet the sheer volume of these intersecting paths makes it incredibly easy to feel profoundly lost.
